I am often asked what drives me. Not too long ago a wrote a blog about this and it got me thinking even more about all of those out there that don’t have the opportunity to do what I do, let alone live where I live and have the access that I have to basic life amenities.
A little known fact about me is that I am the Director of Development for the Etisah Foundation, that has recently partnered with the Cameroonian Canadian Foundation. The Etisah Foundation was founded in order to fund the building a new home for the children of the Save the Children Alliance Orphanage in Limbe, Cameroon. I travelled to Limbe in March of 2013 to oversee the project and since then I have kept a piece of everyone I met there in my heart. The Orphanage still has a bit further to go, and as it will be a larger, safer place, we already know that Josephine Ngale the fearless woman that started the orphanage will see more vulnerable children come to her doorstep.
Our goal is to finish this orphanage, and eventually have education funds set up for all of the children.
These children, Josephine, her son Ivaan, daughter’s Royenne and Ndolo are all in my heart when I train, they send me encouraging words and I believe in the work that they are doing.
If you are interested at all in supporting this cause you can donate HERE. Currently we have a matching grant that will match $2.00 for every $1.00 donated our deadline to raise funds with this match is OCTOBER 10, 2015. You will receive a tax receipt.
